General waterproof walls often only take into account the water pressure that typically acts as a load under normal conditions (they are provided for static water pressure resistance). The load from static water pressure is designed to withstand the pressure generated simply by the water depth. However, during actual flooding, there is a significant risk of debris flowing in and colliding with the waterproof wall, subjecting it to impacts similar to those experienced by river levee waterproof walls.
